A mate's auntie used to work in A&E and she used to tell the same stories. It seems its a common occurrence.
The best she was asked to remove was a Bramley apple. I think a Barbie doll was another.

Apparently the nursing staff ALWAYS took a Polaroid though...obviously just for the files.
