Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Cheers Nutz.
I could remove the heel guard to show it off more but it's more subtle and discreet how it currently sits which was how I like it. Even though the bike is heavily modified I've tried to keep it a sleeper and retain the factory oem look but with enhanced performance.
Tbh I didnt buy it for looks more for function. The oem one requires the rear cowl removing to access it when topping it up which is a pita to remove. The good looks are just a bonus I suppose.

It was a cold start yesterday and roads took a while to dry in shaded areas, still it was fun searching for grip and playing with the traction control

Put it on the main stand and the battery tender, locked it away in the garage. Not to be seen for 23 days

Yesterday, about 150 miles around the Peaks and Staffordshire. Stunning weather, dry roads and a sausage breakfast!
Bike is nearly perfect now, gearing is spot on, just needs a trip to MCT and a remap. Probably wait until Spring though.

Continued to trial fit the brembo rear underslung caliper. Already to take for a custom made braided brake hose now

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
There is some weight saving to be had which although only about 0.5kg it's from the unsprung mass so has a much big effect. Granted 0.5kg doesn't sound like much but I've made lots of small savings which added together with some of the larger ones have shaved 23kg of the oem weight.
The caliper I'm fitting is a 2 piston brembo instead of the single piston nissin which was oem fitment so some better braking performance should hopefully be achieved.
It also makes changing the rear wheel easier and looks alot better imo.
Actually when I write it all down like above there are more benefits than I first realised so pretty worthy while mod all things considered.

Just the standard spacers that came with the Dymag's tbh. Wheel changes are very easy though.
