Dark, wet, gloomy and cold. I'm not surprised we are a nation of fed up and quite depressed people we only have a few months of sun!

That's an interesting comment. I forget the stats on alcohol & narcotic addiction in Alaska, but I remember they're off the chart....there's a TV series about it I've been watching lately and it's pretty good I guess, because I NEVER follow a TV series, usually.

Suicide rates are high in the Nordic countries and they reckon it's the lack of sun/long winters.

Triple digits forecast for today....so I guess summer is officially back....at least for the next week or so. It's not even 7.30am and it already feels like I'm living inside an active volcano.

F*&%!!

Torrential sunshine here.....just taken my second shower of the day and it's not even noon.

Seriously debating on whether I should just give in to temptation and hit the pool for a while.

Feckin weather. Spend much of the week looking out the window at the sunshine from work and come Saturday it pisses down.

It's alternating between howling down with rain and the sun shining here, we've even had some thunder and lightning in the mix. It does lead to some people getting caught out, Mini Gee and myself were in the car earlier and drove through a cloudburst, as we emerged into the sun, we saw a big lardy lad in tracky bottoms and a tee shirt, he couldn't have been wetter if he'd got out of a swimming pool. (rolf)

Mind you it was in Clacton so surprised if he had the grey cells necessary to notice the rain....
