wouldn't a system like that be expensive and heavy with little reward?

The article reckons an electrnoic system would but not a mechanical system. If it works its free energy which as they say could give a faster speed down the straights.

The prototype racing world will try anything to gain an advantage.

So, despite Ducati saying that they're testing the aerodynamic effect, MCN have managed to conjure up a whole new different use for the thing??
