Re: What are you eating ??
We went to a small Food Festival in Colchester today, quite a few stands there and a brilliant Italian Chef from a restaurant we know doing a demo and Q&A on pizza and sauces.
We were hungry going in, so didn't hold back and sampled or bought: olives, oysters, currywurst, sauerkraut, chorizo, ciabatta, halloumi, fudge, baclava, chocolate brownie, Jamaican meat patties, roast pork, fresh crêpes, real lemon/limeade and some of the best coffee I've had outside of Italy.
We also came away with a pot of olives, a loaf of sourdough, a bag of brownies, a container of baclava and a bag of giant strawbs - chewy sweets like wine gums. Funnily enough we aren't planning on cooking dinner later on!

Bacon and egg sandwich and fresh coffee in bed.

Roast gammon, roasties, carrots and peas with a berry fruits crumble and custard for dessert. Very nice too.

Slow roasted shoulder of pork, shredded sprouts with bacon, carrot and swede mash, roast potatoes and baked apples for dessert. Stuffed.

I know it well, one of our customers is based right by the entrance (to the far left as you look from the road), there's always bikes coming and going there along with a peppering of oldies checking out the bric-a-brac shop at the other corner, bit difficult concentrating on work when there's all sorts of exotica coming and going.Rossgo wrote:Had a large sausage bap up at a cafe called Jack's Hill Cafe near Milton Keynes it was massive!!
