I'm really enjoying this thread. No debate, no politics, just pure bike stuff, and as others have already stated, it looks frickin brilliant so far Rocket.

Do you have an estimated completion date? Things seem to be progressing at a healthy rate.

No date or pressure i have most parts but body work will slow it down. I should have a running bike soon though

Over the last few days I've got some work done on the bike.

Put the bearings in the swingarm then set about doing a bit of a test build. It went ok but there are some teething problems.

5 steps forward 10 steps back................. so today I did a leak down test which checks the engine is air tight it needs to be otherwise the fueling can be all over and cause real issues. So i had leak on the reeds so i took them off put a smear of sealant on them and put it back together. I was still losing pressure and noooo its the crank cases the one thing i did not want. Double checked on another 2 stroke forum and yep it needs to be air tight so got to take the motor out pull it in pieces and bond it back together SODDING HELL........... why did i not split them when i had the chance

Ok, before you go stripping everything mate I've had to address crankcase pressure loss dozens of times over the years, and by far the most common cause has been crankshaft bearing oil seal failure.
If you're confident that the crankshaft bearings don't have play, then it is sometimes possible to remove the outer ones without striping the casing halves apart.
I've not had to do my RS250, so I'm not speaking from experience on that particular Suzuki engine.
