Gave the missus's car a good valet which took most of the day.

Exterior

Washed
Clay bar to clear imperfections
Polished
Extra Gloss protection
Tyres cleaned and treated
Windows polished
Wheels polished

Interior

Hoovered
Leather washed
Leather treated
Plastics treated

And then cleaned all the plastic trim in the engine bay.

A lot of elbow grease but looks spot on now 8)

Thank god for gin is all I can say.
Amen to Gin!

When Sarah is away I do everything an hour earlier, tea, bath and bed etc. But tell them as a special treat they can have an extra 30 minutes of play time, and then make them promise not to tell mum about the late night!

They end up in bed 30 minutes early thinking they've had a late night, but they always tell Mum.

Bad dad!
That's pretty good work imo!

My two are too cluely with time and clocks to pull that trick, but when my son was younger I used to adjust his bedside clock to get sleep ins on weekends (devil)

Having a flashback!

I was trawling through some emails trying to find some info and stumbled on this artwork I did for some workmates fishing trip to the Montebello Islands in WA. They got stubbie coolers and T-Shirts made up with it, never did get my ones as payment
The Nuke reference was due to the Montebello Islands were used by the British Military to test 3 nuclear warheads during the 1950's but now the area is thankfully a Marine Reserve and is well known for its Marlin fishing.

The cable you've got in should be good for at least 500mpbs without needing an upgrade, your provider simply limits the speed to what you've paid for. If the server load is low then you'll see good speeds. When a provide tells you the speeds they supply that's the expected speeds. There are few factors to determine the speed it sounds like you're in a good area with low loads.

I m more than happy tbh Kwacky. The TinterWeb is quick enough for all the family, we have virgin media top tv package and the phone including line rental all bundled in for £39 a month which is alot less than sky charged me and that was without line rental which we had to pay to BT on top of sky's bill.

Yes it's a good deal and that's after our 12 month introductory offer finished.

I'm happy with the content and service too and not the first time Virgin have given us a free upgrade.

Happy to recommend them, especially as if I do, me and the new customer get £50 each :P

I've been with Virgin since they were Blueyonder. I get some deals from time to time from them and their customer service has always been pretty good. I upgraded my router and now I'm on 200mbps, which is needed with so many devices in the house.

And that's after an upgrade, was 8 Mbps.

I'm classed as regional up here in the hills so still on dodgy 50 yr old copper lines and ADSL2. If the kids are on YouTube on their iPads I can't stream a video without constant buffering. But TV streaming like Netflix seems to go Ok most of the time.

I download a lot of TV to watch. It's nice being able to snap up a show in a few minutes.

4 mobile phones
3 Kindles
2 laptops
PS3
PS4

Then there's the TV box and the TV both on the internet.

So yeah, it is taxed :D

Not all at once obviously.

Replacing the starter motor in the family wagon.

It's been reluctant to start for a while and got worse recently, coming to a head last week where it gave up :(

As usual, modern cars don't make life easy so i've had to remove a whole load of other stuff to get at it.

Anyway - 3.5hrs later (including pushing it across the site into the garage :D - result - instant start first time. o/ o/ o/

I love it when a plan comes together chickenstrips

Time for beer...

Haha. We have personal company credit cards at work. One lad put his phone monthly contract on it and his weekly shop. Needless to say he no longer works for us.

Always good for a few beers though (blush)
