Up at 4.20 am on a Sunday. My sister was flying out today and had an early morning flight and we are 1.5 hrs in good traffic away from the airport. Had to get the kids up which I thought would be a mission but they were amazing, and were dressed and in the car by 5. Stopped to get coffees and hot chocolates for the kids and managed to spill coffee all over my daughter while getting her back in the car (facepalm) cleaned all that up and got in our way again.

Dropped my sister, then Jess and I took the kids out for breakie in the city and then Pokemon hunting around the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Kids walked just short off 6 km before we gave up and headed home.

I'mchilling with a gin with the fire cranking and the kids are watching a movie and Jess has zonked out in my bed, light weight :D

On Saturday found out my dad had won 2 VIP BSB tickets for Brands Hatch race day. Well of course we went!! Spent the day the Quattro Plant Kawasaki Bournemouth and had lunch with the owner - literally, didn't even realise until we got talking! Absolutely superb race, great day and memories that will last a lifetime!

Spent the middle 4hours of the day climbing and walking about 7 miles in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Proper hardcore stuff with ascents/descents of up to and including 50-60°, all on slippery grass and loose rock with a fair bit of sheep sh*t mixed in as well. But looking out from the summit made it all worth it, we were looking down on the Red Kites that were soaring on updraughts. 8)

Possibly one of the best feelings I've had since I got my legs fixed. (rock)

The icing on the cake was Mini Gee and his mate, who complained a fair bit on the way up, then when at the top being blown away by (1) what we'd achieved, and (2) the view we had of three valleys from where we were. Tired now, but well worth it, off for a drink and something to eat later, and I'll try to put up a pic if the terrible wifi will let me.

Well NOT doing the census last night. The ABS decided it would be online this year. So, the whole country logging on in one day onto the same site. We had assurances it would be fine, they'd load tested the servers to 150% of demand.

They didn't account for multiple denial of service attacks which caused them to shut the servers down themselves to protect security.

Amen to Gin!

When Sarah is away I do everything an hour earlier, tea, bath and bed etc. But tell them as a special treat they can have an extra 30 minutes of play time, and then make them promise not to tell mum about the late night!

They end up in bed 30 minutes early thinking they've had a late night, but they always tell Mum.

Bad dad!

Virgin just gave me a free upgrade to 70mbps TinterWeb speeds.

Just done a speed test to check what there saying and I'm getting 95.15mbps download speeds and 6.35mbps upload speeds.

Free and better than advertised is a win win.

I'm happy with that as I'm on there lowest TinterWeb tariff too (y)
