Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Went for a ride with Rocket.
Bike started cutting out again
Was doing it every 100 yards in town. Was going to phone breakdown but no signal.
Ended up pushing it in leathers in 32 Degree baking sunshine trying to get a phone signal..........not my best idea and fooking agony.
Obviously I gave up on this rather quickly.
Got home in the end but huge struggle bike cut out about 8 times. I'm genuinely that hot and goosed I can't even get my leathers off.
Not my best of days tbh and thoroughly pissed off

Chere's Rossgo.
The Vehicle Down Sensor was replaced under warranty but obviously that wasn't the fix even though that error code still exists.

Can't remember whether i posted this link before but sounds like a similar problem which one guy pinpointed to his cam position sensor.

Not today, but about a week or go I had my 24,000mies service (actually at 26,000miles)
Came to £650. Just what I needed after moving house.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
With moving house, the baby and a few other costs, I can't see it being replaced anytime soon. I still owe 2 more years on finance.
Luckily I still love the bike and find it does everything I need. The engine covers and casing itself is a bit ropey in places so I might keep my eyes open for replacement covers. But other than that it's faired pretty well considering the lack of care and attention it gets from me.
The new speed triple wasn't enough of a departure for me to consider increasing my loan for.
Also, the high mileage I am pretty sure means it will be pretty worthless to most punters. I am more likely to buy it off and then in 2 years once I have get a second bike. A bike that I replace each year and lose no money on after a year of owning.
I can then try out different bikes. I thought about a new Explorer to do some touring. But I also considered one of the new classics and putting loads of accessories on and having a heavily customised bike.
For now though I sticking with the S3 and happy to.

Then there's no reason to change. I do miss my old S3.D6 wrote:With moving house, the baby and a few other costs, I can't see it being replaced anytime soon. I still owe 2 more years on finance.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Last night I finished off the cleaning of it. I polished it made the metallic paint sparkle then wiped over some ACF50. I realise I don't really need the ACF50 on it during this time as its really warm but I have found since using it the bike is a lot easier to clean, plus it can't hurt giving it a wipe with something that protects it!

Had a fun commute following an RC8 for about half of my journey into work. I imagine most the cagers we passed were shaking their heads in disgust

Found it at the back of the garage after tidying the garage up - full of boxes tools and wood - it had got out of control.
I might use it next week!

95 mile blast around High Wycombe Marlow, Henley. Popped into Powerbiking to take a look around their stock and headed home. Went out early this morning when the weather was cooler.
