Keeping my head down. Looks like it's going to be one of those days at work.

if I don't get a decent pay rise I'm off. They don't pay me enough to put up with this shit.

Working from home today while I wait Worcester technician to fix the boiler, it has decided just to supply hot water when it wants.
Then popping down to Fowlers to try on for size a new Dainese Gortex jacket, the D Dry version I have at them minute is a short jacket and water is getting inbetween the join of the jacket & trousers at the front where the zip doesn't reach. I need a longer version to get over this problem.

Yeah I have the d dry jacket and trousers that zip together, this works apart from at the front where there is no zip, water is getting in between the jacket and trousers.
I'm hoping the goretex which is a bit longer will get over this problem.
The both times it has leaked has been motorway/ dual carriageway riding so haven't been hanging about.
The jacket itself doesn't leak and is great , the trousers are fine too just where they join. I also treated myself to a pair of TCX goretex boots.

Relishing the joys of mixing a load of clothes with a brand new ink pen in the laundry.

Half my stuff is ruined....well, maybe only a third of it, but you get the point.

Clearing out rubbish from my garage, taking it to the tip and getting hot, dirty and wet in the process, then ferreting out the nearly new Snap-On toolbox I've had stored in there for the last 8yrs, cleaned it up (didn't need much) ready for being part of a Birthday present for Midi Gee. (^)

Whilst I was doing the above yesterday I noticed that #1 Sons toolkit is woeful to say the least, hence I've decided to give him both the toolbox and a selection of decent tools inside it, his birthday isn't until the end of August, so I've got plenty of time to go bargain hunting for some decent kit. I suspect I'd also be buying him a new man cave for it to reside in If I gave him something like that Kiwi, me as well come to that! No, it's just a standard 26" 9 drawer box with a top section for sockets etc, plenty of storage for what he's got for now, he can always add a roll cab if he wants in a few years/months.

At InflatableWorld with the boy. They both were booked into vacation care to come here last week but he had the gastro bug night before so I couldn't send him. But so he didn't miss out we organised to bring him today while his sister is at ice skating. But since he has no friends with him Dad has to be a big kid with him :P
