Dronestagram

Post by Deegee »

Yes, apparently there is such a thing and what's more they run a photo competition, the pic below was my favourite, but more can be found on the link, it just goes to show that there's more to drones than taking pics of the hot girl next door when she's sunbathing......

I'm back in Instagram after a few years break and there are some awesome drone shots coming through these days.

I work with a guy that is a commercial drone pilot in his off time and he's pretty much talked me into one, I just need to wait till my life is in some kind of order so I have time for it.

Oddly enough I was in a "drone store" the other day quite by chance....thought it was a hobby shop for model kits. I know my kid has one that wasn't very expensive at all....not sure if it could haul a GoPro or anything that heavy.

Come to think of it.....how would you activate the camera on board one of those things???

The drone I'm looking at is this one

http://www.dji.com/mobile/product/phantom-3-adv

It has an integrated camera, lots of assistive and automated flight modes, uses a iPhone/iPad as a flight monitor using lightingbridge comm's for increased range.
