Re: RCV road bike oil and filter change costs?
Well I haven't.
I'm guessing oil about $200 and filter $500.
$700 or £400.. Christ the pound has dropped!

Sounds expensive but it's an oil and filter change so if they charge more than 200 there having a laugh.
P's which PB mag as I'm still on the MT10 cover version and nothing arrived in the post.

£500. The oil is a special oil only available from HRC Japan. This was just the oil and filter. No labour.

You must have a good postie Duke.
I got MCN Sport yesterday but no PB mag and checked my digital subscription download and that still doesn't have this months ready to down load which is disappointing if the issue is out.

What happens? I can't play it with the sound on at work. Does the bloke with the camera walk into the bike?

Re: RCV road bike oil and filter change costs?
No someone with a big touring bmw drops his bike when putting it on the side stand and it lands on the RCV knocking it over.
Apparently it's not written off as the title implies but there is £50000 of damage.
If it was my bike I think I would have gone completely mental at the numpty BMW rider.
Poor fella imagine trying to insure that without any NCB and not sure the BMW riders insurance would cover a car park stationary accident.

Re: RCV road bike oil and filter change costs?
I remember your face when I sat on your bike at the Isle of Man and the side stand wasn't fully down so the bike lurched as I got on. I thought you were going to twat me
My Sprint RS was knocked over in a bike parking bay. The muppet who did it was trying to leave. It was sheer coincidence that I was walking out of work at the time when it happened so I saw what went on. He denied it at first until I told him I saw him do it.
If I had paid that much for a bike there's no way I would park it up in a row of other bikes like that.

Re: RCV road bike oil and filter change costs?
I don't think id ever get off it if i paid that much for a bike. Saying that i wouldn't be stupid enough to take it to the IOM during TT week frankly.Kwacky wrote:I remember your face when I sat on your bike at the Isle of Man and the side stand wasn't fully down so the bike lurched as I got on. Re: RCV road bike oil and filter change costs?
Strikes me that the bloke making the video knocks the BMW over. Its the same bike featured heavily in PB magazine this month.
To be fair to the RCV owner he says he bought it to use it and use it he will.

Re: RCV road bike oil and filter change costs?
I'm not buying that (sic)....an ex-employee had the same thing on his Porsche with the oil, and the MBZ I had needed a special filter.....sourced both elsewhere for a tiny fraction of the OEM costs....pays to have a stepson who knows his stuff in that regard.duke63 wrote:£500.
