This time last week I was on a gas platform 250km from land operating some pretty serious equipment. (muscle)

Today I was singing songs from the peanuts movie soundtrack with my 7 yr old daughter and her friend in the car on the way to school. (music)

I know which one makes me smile more
I agree mate....nowt cooler than 'serious equipment'.

I wish I could even compare the two....the ex. is playing the 'whatever-it-is-that-women-do-when-they're-pissed-and-a-child-is-involved' thing. Again.

Acting like some sort of receptionist or switchboard operator. I'm the only one in and the calls haven't stopped. It's time consuming because you have to take a call, type up a note for the file, email the person the call was for, put a time entry on the time system... (gah)

Well the good news is I didn't have to broach the filing for divorce subject, because she did and wants it done asap now (had to wait a year post seperation which was about 2 weeks ago)

Kids met Jess last night, couldn't have gone better, they love her.

That's very intuitive of you Tony (lol)

I gave it a good amount of time and waited till the kids were settled with me back up here in the house and the ex settled into her new place. She gets to hang out with her fella with the kids so I finally get to do the same now. Jess has a couple of kids the close to the same ages as mine so it's going to be cool to all hang out together

It always amazes me that its alright for them to have a new partner but they get really angry when you do! Cant work that out.

Glad things are sorting out and there are no secrets now - life goes on and hopefully you are both happy :)

I had to do the same.. Donegal to Dublin in one sitting. 4.5 hours of pretty manic driving. Got to Dublin and couldn't find our way to the destination so I took the bus lane!

Enjoy the drive, ROI roads are way better than NI too

I've got a really boring task to do on file reviews. I would sooner be counting grains of sand.

Worked 11hrs without a break or a hot drink, all for a pita customer that doesn't maintain his equipment properly and then turns sh*tty when the results of 5yrs of neglect can't be fixed in 30mins. Oh, and all this is in the pouring rain....

Sometimes I think I should be a butterfly farmer.

We've got our business update. I can write the script

"we're doing well, could do better, competitive market, difficult times, market leaders, need to reinvest profits, thanks for your hard work, no time to rest on our laurels".

Gearing up for my handover. Been designing a new product so have to rename all my part files to the convention and sign them over to someone else. All while still designing these parts!

On the plus side, the design is looking much improved and I have a new job on Monday with a new rate of pay! :) I'm over £10/hour now which is good in my book

**EDIT - I'm almost at £12/hour; Yippeee :D

Thanks mate, it will be boring to start with while I do customer returns but at least I'll learn the product quickly.

I can't wait to get stuck into more design work
