I don't know whether anyone has seen the interviews with Out voters now regretting what they had done and saying things like - 'I didn't actually think we would leave' - so WTF did you vote that way?

So few people take any interest in politics anymore. Many of the voters were so ill informed on what a Vote Leave would mean to them personally.

Cheap flights is another thing that is likely to go down the pan. All UK-EU flight routes will have to be renegotiated and British airlines no longer have a right to fly there just because they want to.

I don't understand Duke. Why will it be the end of cheap flights ? Surely if European airports put a tariff on UK flights landing we can do the same for flights inbound to UK airports which is in nobodies interest.

People need to take a sensible approach here and not make rash decisions that benefit nobody.

IMO there is alot of people saying IF, MAYBE or COULD like they were facts and for gone conclusions. In reality the grown ups on both sides need to sit down and sort this all out and move forward in the best interest of all parties involved.

If the media would calm down on spinning headlines people would be less fearful of their future.

That doesn't lower prices though. All it means is that it's expensive to fly into the UK from Europe and expensive to fly from the UK into Europe. Flights into the UK are a very small percentage of routes for European carriers.

It is all ifs at the moment. Uncertainty isn't good, certainly not for business.

It's the main connecting hub for flights heading west (Heathrow, that is)....or "trans-continental" or whatever they call it.

Amsterdam, Paris and Berlin all do that and can take over from Heathrow if it becomes expensive

DeGaulle is a pretty impressive airport...all new & shiny and stuff. Always impressed with the way the French do air travel....well, mainly I like French chicks, and they're good at passing out the vino.

Pity they couldn't find our plane. Seriously....our plane had a fault and we literally drove round in a bus looking for a plane to ride in. Oh how we laughed.

Would they have the capacity as there already very busy airports ? It's all hypothetical anyway as unlikely to happen imo.

Schiphol currently handles about 53m passengers. It's expanding and that work is underway. By the time they've finished they can deal with 70 million.

I've not bothered to look at other airports but I suspect that between them, if needed, they could cope.

I just can't see it personally. There is alot of doom and gloom at the moment but I think alot of it is hot air and when it all settles down the world won't have ended.

My kids are more rational than some of these Polticians (blush)

Well that went well.

Fortunately I've just had a weekend camping with no internet, phone signal, media or TV. Plus great friends that decided on arrival that we'd just pretend it didn't just happen, not talk about it and get pissed.

An axiomatic initial reaction...it was never going to go up on this news. Give it 21-28 days and it should start an upturn back to where it was or thereabouts.
