Because it's a 20p piece, not a quid coin??

And that is what a quid is now worth?? Figuratively.

My German colleagues laughingly refer to the UK population as "the Island Monkeys" because we seem poorly evolved when they watch the 18-30 drunken antics, football hooligaism etc etc, normally I defend my country staunchly. Not this time. This time I am in full agreement with them.

Well not spoke on this much but done a lot of reading. I woke up in shock yesterday and today I went to town and felt like quite ashamed there are plenty of shops run by eu nationals and I use these had my hair cut today at the barbers and wondered how long it would still be here. I travel quite a bit round the EU and he people I meet are very kind and welcoming and I feel the county has stuck two fingers up at these people.

I don't think those are the people anyone is concerned about. The downside of that is they are more publicly visible and therefore more prone to bear the brunt of any backlash from the yobs.

To be honest we haven't kicked any EU workers out of the country and we won't be!

It really shocks me how the British are calling each other racists etc and my EU workers and my Polish boss at work are quite happy about the Brexit saying we need our balls back and their not nervous they still want to be here and don't see anything changing. I'm really confused.

I'm happy with my vote, if we chose to remain I'm sure the people along with me would be happy with that. So why all the name Calling?!

Also can I ask a question why have I seen so many people talk about 16 and 17 year olds should be able to vote...I thought these guys would still be in education, still live with mum and dad, play PS games after school and have very little life experience and very little/ if any work experience. Is it our fault that only 72% (or something) of propel who are registered to vote didn't bother with a vote at all?!

Seems like a silly idea to me!!

Ii agree, I don;'t think 16 and 17 year olds should be given the vote. Turn out for the under 25s was 25%. I doubt that many 16 or 17 yr olds would be interested.

100% agree on the 16-18yr olds not voting, tbh given the utter lack of knowledge of current affairs that some people I've met have, I'm beginning to think that a basic level of understanding should be mandatory to qualify for the vote. Not democracy I know, but surely an informed choice is a minimum requirement for a voter?
