If you didn't know of him and you met McGuiness down the pub you wouldn't think he had it in him would you. Those guys are a breed apart. I'd like to have a 1/10 of their skill.

He was very happy with the Bike said it had more power and torque than last years , he doubts that a new bike next year will help a great deal , he has said ( not in public ) that there were two lunatics in front who were prepared to do anything in order to win and he was more than happy with his third place .

There was nothing extra in the BMW over the Honda in Superbike spec. HUTCHY doesn't pull away anywhere from what I can see in that video

I really like John McGuiness and think he has done a huge amount for Road Racing and help bring the TT back to its current peak popularity levels.

I am quite concerned over the future of the TT , I don't believe that the group that have gained control of the event fully understand it , I have read some of the corporate shite they are spouting and its all about creating new revenue streams and maximising returns , they want the racing over 2 consecutive weekends so they can put it on live TV , with the Senior TT having a sunday afternoon slot on the second weekend , nothing in their documentation even mentions safety or maintaining tradition .

I see they've be asking for ideas on how to get more people there. Is there room for more spectators?

there is space for more camping but all the Hotels and B&B's are full the whole period , as for actual spectating this worries me that all the good spots will be designated "Fan Zones" or some such and they will charge to view from there , there were fan zones this year 3 or 4 I think but you only had to pay if you sat in the grandstands they had erected there , I fear they will charge for parking , admission to the "fan zone" and admission to the grandstand and also start to impose further restrictions on where you can actually watch from . They will also need to improve the access to the Island by laying on more ferry crossings and flights , currently if you want to go to the TT you need to start planning at least 6 months prior imo .

6 months ... more like 12 monthswe are struggling at the moment we have decided to camp for next year as we can not find a b&b

My neighbor is even booking evening meals at restaurants for next year

I have tried a few times to get accommodation and it's been booked up for 3 or 4 years ahead.
