After the last two days of downpours the bike is covered in sand and salt. It's June FFS, why is there still salt about on the roads?

Rode it down to RK Performance.

Using the sat nav was a novel experience, obviously in the car you're used to audible clues as well as visual, but on the bike it's all about looking and making sure you're still on the right road.

At first, I wasn't keen. The phone display isn't brilliant in sunlight and there's a new load of information to take in which can easily distract you from the road.

However, after 15 miles or so I started to get it. Don't let yourself look at it for too long, only take in the relevant information, and make sure you turn Auto-Rotate off in the settings!!!

Normally, I'd be pouring over maps the night before, trying to get a route memorised in my head, which is annoying. If I came across a diversion like I did this morning then I'd start flapping.
Not today.

Today I am a Sat Nav Bumder!

And I'm not lost!!!

Now I'm just stood watching Tim apply a whole manner of recording equipment to my bike. Quite excited about this. 8-|

Just got back.

Tale of the tape: 125.76 bhp

That's pretty healthy for a nearly 4 year old Zed that hasn't been serviced since its 800 mile initial service. Hasn't even had an oil change or anything (yes, I am ashamed)!

I'd imagine so. Your higher mileage will be offset by the fact that you've actually looked after it!

tightened the chain.

I was going to clean it, but, to be brutally honest, I really couldn't be arsed to.

Didn't get a torque output but that's not what today was about, it was about recording the bike's sound. The power runs were purely an added bonus.
Have had a great day, some of the roads on the 81 mile trip down were pretty fantastic, I've had a day off work, a rideout, a free dyno, expenses paid and met some genuinely nice people, I didn't crash so all in all, a fantastic day! 8)

They are just the cheap stuff from China on flea bay, the quality is very good though. After I got the original order I asked if he could make one without headlight holes and he said yes so I ordered one, it's a different shade of red but I know someone who can get over that. It will do for Silverstone next week.
The shock is GP7 bought it off someone breaking their track bike.

Have you got a link to the seller Kingfixer? Wouldn't mind getting a spare set for the track bike. Plenty on ebay but they are all road going. Interested to see that he did a track based set for you and the quality is pretty good.
