Yeah Perkles, mad price, a guesstimate at the mo from someone I trust as he reckons it'll be £50 a bush and the time needed to do it. Hey ho JBs have asked me to get it to a local Kawasaki for a 2nd opinion, as they reckon it'll be around £150 so see what they say.

Gents, just a thought....as Monty tweaked my mind as he rightfully said if the forks aren't leaking (which they're not) how can it be the bushes?

What suspension settings are you using? Can you let me know your fronts and rears from the ZX-10R bys on here as a comparison.

reason i ask is i wound it all back to standard, yet it the pre-load and rebound is exaggerated a lot and therefore I'm thinking (not knowing how the internals work on the these BPFs) is that affecting the tightness of the internals which in turn are giving the movement?

Like a say just a thought; thanks for the advice as always gents.

Update....

Ok have totally re-done the front and rear suspensions settings, making them firmer (a tad harder over standard) as they were at their softest settings. Doh. Now feels a completely different bike. Hardly any clunking. Still the movement in the fork yet night and day difference. Must have really tightened up the internals to reduce the clunking that much! Not sure what the rear wheel squeal is; that's for another day.

Well I've always had my suspension set up and it's been worth every penny. Monty and I are going to MCT in September (that's the earliest they could fit us in) to get it done. He's awesome.

I know numerous people including myself that have used Darren and been very happy with what he does, he's not cheap, but nothing worth having ever is. Top Bloke.

An update on the suspension issues...

After a suspension diagnostic test at P&H it turns out that Mike at MD Racing was spot on, both fork bushes have gone! Very unusual they said considering the mileage.

Jordan Bikes have been brilliant and authorised all the work at P&H so one can't complain at that. Costs £298 to sort. Top boys them Jordan Bikes lads!!!

Should be ready next Thursday after which I'll Mike at MD Racing to set the suspension up to my weight etc.

At last I can then actually really ride the thing!

Hey Perkles, i hear you work for Kawasaki....a favour if i may, here's my situation...

I've not ridden my bike really for three weeks, dropped off at P&H a week ago, they did the diagnostic, said it needs new fork bushes, and they've been authorised to do this by Jordan Bikes, same day, so ordered the parts. i call Monday for an update as to when will my bike be ready this week, they then advise no parts in yet. I get a call yesterday to advise they're on back order from Kawasaki (none in the country), and the earliest they can book me in is mid July now! they want my loan bike back (which they can have as its whining from the rear wheel bearings) tomorrow. so if i wait for P&H i will not have ridden my bike for a further 4 weeks, meaning two months in total! not happy.

I'm thinking of getting hold of the parts myself, and getting Jordan Bikes to pay me what they would've P&H. That way i can then get them done by a mechanic who used to service my Honda who knows his stuff or even Mike at MD Racing.

So, Perkles, what parts (as standard) would be recommend to change when doing the fork bushes?

just spoke to the guy i know at Kawasaki motors and he said just make sure you change the fork oil while your in there,he was surprised to hear about your fork failure
