On reflection, perhaps one of you should have borrowed Frankie's S1000rr for the trip.

Just to confuse it further, all the Americans were French.

Considering the fact that regardless of how good a shock is, the benefits of it are completely wasted when the linkage is so stiff the shock doesn't move: I can't believe bike manufacturers don't put a grease nipple or some such on those pins and linkages to keep them working as intended.

Put th forks back on the gixer, filled up rad, got up to temp, and sounding sweet.
Then went to put on the farings, bottom had a little repaint, nothing fancy and not a proper job as such, but it will do,
Well I say will do, would have done, expect when I went to fit, one of the corners snapped !!! Seems it was mostly plastic filler...... So took off and proceeded to work some magic with fibre glass. Just finished will leave over night and see how things look in the morning. Might have to do a little more painting now :(

Did a lot of weeding this morning, so treated myself to a mental hour on the bike after collecting my forks. Lol....mental it was indeed.

Mk1 in sliver but its really ruff so a full strip down is in order.

Hardwired it in. Surprisingly for me, no problems. I haven't taken it for a test ride yet, but hopefully should all hold up nicely.
