Took my Jap bike with another Jap bike, an Italian and an Austrian to help celebrate the Americans liberating a French town.

On reflection, perhaps one of you should have borrowed Frankie's S1000rr for the trip.Kwacky wrote:Took my Jap bike with another Jap bike, an Italian and an Austrian to help celebrate the Americans liberating a French town.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Considering the fact that regardless of how good a shock is, the benefits of it are completely wasted when the linkage is so stiff the shock doesn't move: I can't believe bike manufacturers don't put a grease nipple or some such on those pins and linkages to keep them working as intended.Perkles wrote:Refitted my rear shock and greased all the suspension linkages ,bone dry the lot of them

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Put th forks back on the gixer, filled up rad, got up to temp, and sounding sweet.
Then went to put on the farings, bottom had a little repaint, nothing fancy and not a proper job as such, but it will do,
Well I say will do, would have done, expect when I went to fit, one of the corners snapped !!! Seems it was mostly plastic filler...... So took off and proceeded to work some magic with fibre glass. Just finished will leave over night and see how things look in the morning. Might have to do a little more painting now
Did a lot of weeding this morning, so treated myself to a mental hour on the bike after collecting my forks. Lol....mental it was indeed.

Hardwired it in. Surprisingly for me, no problems. I haven't taken it for a test ride yet, but hopefully should all hold up nicely.
