Not heard back from ohlins yet but I did a search online for local dealers and saw jhp listed
I want it done quickly
Its the owner's son, Rick who is the Ohlins specialist. He knows his bikes inside out.

When i was there the other Saturday afternoon, he was just about to leave when a customer had issues starting his bike in the car park. He went outside and fixed it for him for free (sidestand switch) delaying his home time.

No it doesn't say on the website but just says it's now been rectified in manufacture, interestingly for bikes fitted with them as Oem it's says the damping shaft nuts haven't been torqued up properly but doesn't say what the aftermarket fault is
I found the piece of paper where I wrote it down and checked last year and it's the same no I wrote down today so I'm not going mad KA040 137030
I'm not taking any risks so will get it serviced anyhow,I'm sure JHP will know what's been the problem
I'm pissed off my bikes going to be off the road I have enjoyed my last few rides ;(

My serial number is 138612 sp would seem it's made later than yours and perhaps they had spotted and rectified the fault by then.

Hope things work out quickly. Can JHP offer a courtesy bike ?

I bought mine from Kais. I wouldnt have thought warrant issues should be a concern as this is a recall isn't it ?

Well I was going to change the oil and filter but I need to remove one side of the fairings to get to the filter, so I'm leaving it for now.

Drop it off at lunch time one day Andy. It's good your near them as you can pop in and have a chat about the issue. Might be worth ringing ahead and seeing if you can book a quick turn around slot as a suggestion.

How tricky is it ? The ten is just 4 screws for the side fairing but tbh from memory I think I changed the oil and filter without having to remove the fairing. Can you not just un do the bottom fixing and tease it open a little as a suggestion ?

asked around and decided to use Kais,BG do more car stuff and the Kais boys run a BSB team or two.I am going to ask about an Ohlins cartridge kit for my front forks and see if my rear shock spring is suited to my weight.I am also going to get my bike set up by them in the near future, shocks off now and in the boot of my car for an early start tomorrow

New zorst, tail tidy and smoked rear light...

Noticeably more flickable and sounds more raspy. I like.
