Yep, I do get paid overcycle, which I will admit is a generous rate (because it's the only way they can get people to stay longer voluntarily under normal circumstances) and while that will be handy, I'd pay that back plus interest to get home and cuddle my kids and start to organise my life in the house again. Not to mention the furniture deliveries booked for friday. Because I'm out in the sticks they only come out there once a week, so today will be spent trying to organise someone to get the keys off my ex and let the delivery men in. but there goes the test ride :@

I've woken up waiting for breakie but my partner is still sleeping! Today is the first day of going into Disneyland, and taking a look around, we are big kids at heart!

today I've spent hours on the phone and computer....

1.negotiating/organising to get the ex to give the keys to a mate and convincing him to go and let the delivery guys in to my house to drop of my bedroom suite.

2. Rang the warehouse and had the delivery split so Jess' bed goes to her house (was going to mine to save on delivery costs then i was going to trailer it down to hers) and got a 50% reduction in the extra delivery fee by offering to pay it to the driver in cash ;)

3. Booked and paid for tickets return to Perth for Jess when I go over there for work training in September.

4. On hold to Qantas for an hour to cancel and refund a return trip to Perth as their site glitched and I paid for two!

5. Applied for business upgrades for said trip for us both

6. rang my Super Fund and enquired why my ex hasn't got her pound of flesh from my Super (because she emailed asking where it was)

7. Rang the ex and told her the Super Fund are waiting on the signed and court sealed consent orders from HER laywers (giggle)

8. Rang the furniture shop I was picking a dining table up from tomorrow to say I'll get it saturday... hopefully

9. updating my time sheet to include two days overcycle

10. Directing my Timorese Trainee over radio on how to complete all my plant duties while I'm busy doing the above 8)

I better get outside now and make sure nothing is broken!

Got up at 4am and drove to Avonmouth to investigate a reported problem that was down to the nut holding the steering wheel. Grrr, that's 3 hrs of sack time I've lost for a complete asshat.

Edit, high point of the day was seeing first summer biker in shirtsleeves, on a Ducati Paso on the A14. I'm guessing he didn't want to get too hot whilst pushing it to the next lay-by.....

I only recognised it because my brother had two of them at different times, both were a POS, rubbish engine, electrics and bodywork. Mind you, without that bike we wouldn't have had bikes like the 888 or the 916.
