Having lunch with Mrs Gee, Gee's Major, Minor & Micro, plus future DiL, (although tbh Micro Gee was wearing a goodly portion of his lunch). Nothing better than Sunday Lunch with loved ones.

Currently enjoying a Calvados brandy in a proper brandy balloon. One of life's great pleasures.

Had a lie in after a late night with a sick son. He's bounced back and is at Alton Towers.
I've done some dad jobs around the house and garden. Then my ironing whilst watching GoT and a film.

Just finished a book, I am sure many have read this already, as it is from a while ago, but a good read all the same.

Its a great book and he was a naughty boy at times, I'm not sure why that surprised me but it did.. I found it easy to read for an hour or so then i had to put it down as it had so much detail in it. I finished it last month and I've had it for ages!Frankie wrote:Just finished a book, I am sure many have read this already, as it is from a while ago, but a good read all the same.

I'm at work, looking out of the window, dreaming about being out on the bike.

Counting down the finial coupled hours of my shift. I have to cover my staffs breaks for an hour then go over to the main building to to get something that usually takes literally 30-45 mins then going home for the start of my holiday!! Off to Disney Land Paris for a few days!

Re: What are you doing today ??
I've just asked for a pay rise. Judging by the reaction I won't be treating myself to a new bike any time soon.
I should get a decision in a few weeks time. Salary reviews take place in June so I thought I would get in early while they're still doing the budgets for next year.

Good for you...you don't ask, you don't get....just don't do it too much and you'll be OK.Kwacky wrote:I've just asked for a pay rise. Judging by the reaction I won't be treating myself to a new bike any time soon.
I remember a really beautiful girl standing on the street in LBZ one time....happened to be walking by to get smokes....when I came back she was still there...
"Hi....I don't mean to be rude, but what are you doing out here? You're obviously not 'on the game', and if I were your boyfriend I wouldn't want you out around this neighbourhood?"
"I'm waiting for the bus".
"Oh...Why doesn't your boyfriend drive you?"
"I don't have a boyfriend".
"WHAAAT!? How come??"
"I was told I'm too intimidating....guys just assume I'm already with someone, so no-one ever asks me out on a date".
"Oh....well, would you like to go out with me?"
A pause.
"No...now fcuk off!"
True story.

Re: What are you doing today ??
It's the first pay rise I've asked for so I'm not taking the piss.
Well, asking for a 12.5% pay rise might be seen as taking the piss....... I guess I'll find out.

If I get any more than the bog standard 1.5% or whatever they're offering this year it'll be a bonus.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Went to do a 1hr job and wound up with a bucketload of work from another piece of kit that took an extra 8hrs to sort - and I need parts, so that's yet another visit.... Sometimes I feel like I'm going backwards.

Re: What are you doing today ??
2 extra days at the moment. We have got one helicopter coming out tomorrow but have a backlog and limited to one helicopter crew. So fully expecting (read mentally preparing) for a bit longer. They are flying it direct from Darwin rather than Timor so it's a 2.5 hr flight over water. If there's even a hint something is not right the helicopter won't fly.Kwacky wrote:How long will you have to stay at work?
