That seriously impressive from a 7 yr old!! You must have provided some great support!

Or maybe he was thinking "I've got to show this old fecker up!" (lol)

Tried them.

It's not an exercise you can rip into is it?
After bouncing the bar off my knees a couple of times I soon learned to slow down.

Only 60kg done for 5 sets of 8, will get used to the form before I go much harder.

You have to go slow to get the form right and to get the benefit IMO. Did you feel the hamstrings working? How close did you have your grip? I have my hands almost touching

Felt the hamstrings at the bottom of the movement, more in the glutes the further up I went. Felt good though.

Hands started at thigh width but it wasn't comfortable. They naturally ended up close together, 2-3 inches apart.

I think I've tweaked something doing deadlifts. Had a twinge in my lower right side front abs, so I backed off the weight and did a few reps instead.

I'm burnt out.

I've been getting up earlier this week as I've been on Keys duty.

So combining not much sleep and 2 gym sessions per day sees me tired, less motivated and, much like Kwacky I did deadlifts this morning and now my knee hurts.

I think a week of 1 session per day on lighter weights will sort me out, a good deload.

I've been told to deload by 25% every 3 months. The advice comes from my old fitness instructor and he's massive.

64 inch chest and he can swing a punch. Boxing pad work with him was brutal. I would have to throw a knockout punch just to make his arms move.

if your squat max is 100kg, you drop your max to 75kg. You then build back up to 100kg and over.

It gives your body a rest and is a good chance to work on your form. It's also really good if you're stuck at a max weight. It's really helped me with my squats.

Taekwondo was hard tonight as it was so hot. But sparring went well for some unknown reason. Working on my guard to stop my head being kicked in helps.
