Looks like an interesting programme about the ecological impact we've had on the place.

Have any of our servicemen been there? I know it's a stop over for the Falklands.

I was there a few years ago, but as you say, only there for a couple of hours on the way to the Falklands.
It was midnight and we couldn't leave the departure "cage".

Nice and warm though!

Spent a night there before a 4 month stint in FI. It was the 4th July so had a knees up with the American troops there. Good times. Stunning place from what I remember.

Pretty long article but I'm sure I read the British sent someone there for being gay and HR drunk seagull blood and eventually drank his own urine...how does blood rate higher than urine in the 'going to die from dehydration' scale?!
