Flash sucks, you should be able to force Firefox or chrome to use HTML5. Or you could just buy a Mac :D

There was some flare up from android app developers against the ad suppliers over the last week. Apparently there where some ad's being served out that chewed up bandwidth and cpu time, therefore eating up data allowances and killing batteries.

I wonder if the same has been causing issues with desktop browsers as well, but it wouldn't have been noticed so much due to the extra processing power available. I would notice even less as one of the first things I install is an ad blocker.

At work i also use image blockers.. these two are must haves IMO
