Definitely sort that out - you don't want to wear your gears down unnecessarily. I'd use the clutch until then.

Rearsets are odd, what I thought would be comfortable wasn't - I had to have them back and up on my zx. Sounds like a good outing though !! I need to get out on my this weekend!

Mick if the qs only has one adjustable kill time you may find it hard to get an improvement going from 1st to 2nd without having a negative impact on all other gear changes.

The problem with 1st to 2nd is its a longer throw as you have to pass through neutral so takes longer to engage the 2nd gear therefore the kill time which is ideal for higher gears is too short for the 1st to 2nd gear shift when passing through neutral.

I don't know which model of qs you have but some have adjustable kill time dependent on gear and engine revs others have just one kill speed setting that can be adjusted slightly but all gears have the same kill time.

Hope the info helps.

Cold again this morning but on the plus side the roads have been relatively quiet; I think Coventry schools shut this week. Brum ones shut this Thursday for easter .

Thanks Blade, I did have that scenario in the back of my mind but i'll look into it, when I say brutal its not a bad shift just not as nice as the rest which are as smooth as silk. I suppose its just different to the QS I had on the blade which was lovely in all gears.

No it's a tried and tested method, just I would be giving the dishwasher a good cleaning flush afterwards.

Took the wheels off the Multi to get the part worn Angel GTs fitted tomorrow.

The Michelin PR4 rear has had it and is on the wear markers in the centre.

The mileage was 5100 when i put them on and its now 12050. That's pretty good even allowing for the motorway miles done on two Euro trips. The front probably has at least a couple of thousand miles left in it.

The company has folded, which means no after sales. But for £110 delivered I'm not going to complain.

Cleaned & polished both bikes this afternoon, put the fairings back on the 999 and fitted some CF swing arm covers, I know this not everyone's taste but they go with the BST wheels ok IMO.
I've also ordered a new rear light cluster and a tail tidy.

Washed the RSV, need to give it a proper clean at some point (read that as take it to be valeted)

Then took it out for a quick blast, just got back home and ended up with a big whole in the rear (facepalm) looks like a screw went in and out again.

They where part worns off eBay so not too bothered about them. Tyre shopping this weekend then.

Try tyreleader Nutz always good prices.

Been doing a few bits on the zx636 decided for the time being I'm keeping it as my track bike. I want to get it up to scratch so I have ordered some new race fairings as the others were not that great after being chopped and changed about.
I'm changing the colour so I prepared the tank today and gave it a quick coat in primer.

While the tank was hardening off. I took the zx10r out for a tour to Sherburn really enjoyed it was really busy. Down side to today was the amount of bikers I saw / followed doing silly moves. I know I'm guilty of doing a few daft things but its like they were out to prove something.

I know what you mean mate, saw a little muppetry myself, had a good ride today with Rossgo, Farmer and Rossgo's mate. I think a lot of people had the same idea, get out today before the weather turns crap for the rest of the BH.

I'll check them out, cheers mate. Probably going to stick with the m7's as I'm happy riding in all conditions and they are superb for that.
