Stripped the 636 down to check a few things over. Cleaned the K&N and tightened the cam chain tensioner.
Also had a look at the clutch cable on the zx10 as last time out i was getting a click from the lever as I released it. Everything seemed ok so gave it a bit of a lube.
"80mph" sorry officer I possibly could not have done that I'm no Valentino Rossi.

Went to the Ducati UK roadshow at JHP today, intending to test ride a Hypermotard but it was base bike and not the SP.

So i test rode the Monster 1200R instead.

The roads were a bit damp, it was cold and we rode in procession with a Ducati rider but i dont think i have ever ridden a bike that accelerates so quickly at road speeds.
I mentioned this to the Ducati UK guy and he said that last weekend they were doing 60-90mph same gear roll-ons and it was quicker than every other bike there including the 1299 Panigale and the X Diavel. Super sweet gearbox too that didn't need a quickshifter it was that slick.

I think a bit too focussed for what i want though. It feels like a marginally more comfortable sportsbike. Great fun though.

Saw Frankie and did slow riding at IAM today. Was really nice to do a bit of bike skill as I haven't been out for a couple of weeks which feels like months so needed it in my opinion!

Took a little run out to Bala and back. I'm sure a few of you will recognise the spot I stopped at for tea and cake.

It was a little bit cold in places and I was glad I put on two sets of Base layers
Good to get out on the bike though and got my knee down for the first time this year :)

Took the 748 out for a first shakedown run of the Spring. Didn't go too far just enough to blow a few cobwebs away, take a few photos and test out the Corse rearsets. Loads of bikes out today.

Pics of the new swingarm and the new exhaust which in essence isn't much different to the old one just different pipes to get round the new swingarm , new QS and clutch master cylinder, didn't get a chance to get out on it so that will have to wait till tomorrow

It was bad enough working on my Fizzy in the kitchen, but when I stripped a carb on the kitchen work surface and was caught with a V6 crankshaft in my chest of drawers my Mother went garrity. I'm too aware of how well off I am with Mrs Gee to chance using her dishwasher for parts..... (shake)

Well took the 999 out for its first 'test ride' after getting it back, the clutch is a bit better but not much, the QS is great a bit brutal between 1st & 2nd but the rest are great, the HM QS has an adjuster on it so may play about with that to try and sort 1st to 2nd. still struggling to get a comfortable position with the rearsets though. Forgot how easy this thing goes into corners with CF wheels it would have been interesting to ride one without just to compare. Rich has done his magic with the slipper clutch so that is ok now. The new exhaust sounds louder but its in essence the same system as before just different pipes for the new swingarm ?? unless its not its just that long since ive heard it !!
