Quick question how many miles should you take to bed in new pads to old discs?
Get some brake cleaner and scotchbrite on the discs to remove any old brake pad deposit then let rip with the new pads

Reminded why we do lifesavers.

Cruising along the motorway and hadn't noticed a car drop into my blind spot on my right. Mirrors, signal, maneuver and then did the life saver as I started moving across. Entirely my fault for not paying enough attention.

I've done that once or twice...
Always makes me feel sick for a few moments afterwards..

Roads were pretty good until the last couple of miles. I made it into work in a really good time, which is kind of crap as I'm in no rush to get here :D

Nothing. Working from home today.

Gotta take a disc drive into the office later, so might get out on the Harley for a spin.

Stripped the wheels off the cbr as the tyre man cometh :)

Rear sprocket added to list as it's pretty rounded off....

He's been. Shiny new M7s.... Oooh.

He was a miserable fecker. Sucked any good mood out of you, you know the ones. He did a reasonable job but clearly car tyres was his main thing as he took a while and scratched each of the rims a little (small but still...) .

I really hate miserable people, pisses me off as life is too short. I used to work with a load of miseries, makes me realise how much better off I am... Happy days :)

The wife even gave him a slice of cake and a cup of tea and he was still miserable. Wow.

I'm gonna eat the remainder of my birthday cake to reset the balance :)

I also forgot how painful the CBR is to put the rear wheel back in without captive spacers :(. You need 4 hands :(

From memory there's not much room to get the spacers in and the swingarm seems quite high up so trying to get the wheel into place and make sure the spacers didn't move was a game and a half.

Too right, plus the rear brake caliper to get into line too.. Uurgh.

I also discovered the front brakes don't work, I think the fluid is shot as I can use the front brakes by pumping the lever and it hardens up, but then 5 secs later the lever has no pressure again.

I'm going to buy a load of parts next month and then spend a day or two sorting it once and for all I think.

It just needs a good refresh now.

It was dry when I looked out of the window this morning, so I thought "it's dry, I'll take the Dodo in my kevlar jeans today".

Started raining about half way in, naturally. :D

That sucks.. I'm half hour from Bristol and there is no sign of rain anytime soon..

Quite mild today also.

My bike progress is sadly on hold until my Uni work is finished. It would be a mistake if I finished the bike before my uni work, the first nice bit of weather and I would on the bike all day

I use my feet, sit on the ground behind the bike and use my feet to wedge the wheel up

Rode it after a major service! I got into town and found another biker through rush hour so naturally we had a filtering competition!! He was sitting behind the cars but I started to filter I kept my eye on him and he started to follow me!!

Also got new brake pads all around (EBC HH) what a difference that had made! I had Brembo pads on before which I was very happy with but these EBC ones seem to have s stronger bite. Although I can't be certain on that it could just be because they are new pads so makes it feel different. But either way I like them

MOT on the zx6r

Got an advisory on the rear shock linkage bush, which has some play in it. I'll order a new one.

I would be interested to see what you have planned please Duke, if you do find reference to it.
