Yeah. And it's basically my own fault for not noticing it had worked loose until after it dropped off, eh? :D

I'm sure it'll make you laugh even more, but I believe that this is how one learns...

Part of the reason my R1 now has a rear seat cover is because I once arrived home to find the OEM rear seat missing. Bit of a shocker. Clearly, I hadn't clipped it down properly. No idea where it parted company with the bike, had a ride back along my route and couldn't see it. I am a lucky boy, though, imagine being in front of a car and it coming off? Could have been really serious.

Whoops. :D

Bloke in a range rover jumped a red light near where I live. I had words but it wasn't nasty - I couldn't get cross with a bloke who sounds like Kevin Turvey. He told me I was riding in the "coroner's corridor". A phrase I've not heard before.

It must be 4x4 twat day. Well, it does end in a "y"...

Saw a guy in a private plated Freelander cut up a load of cyclists and a biker this morning, jumping lanes without indicating. Biker stopped to have a chat, guy started screaming at him out the window. I pulled alongside to lend a little solidarity and he shouted "you can **** off, too". :D

Happy chappy. Maybe 40 and a heart attack waiting to happen. Poor sod. It must be something to do with wearing cheap polyester work shirts with your company logo stitched on them for everyone to see. Whoops. Now, where's that email...

I'm not actually going to, but he shut up pretty quickly when it was mentioned who he worked for. Prick. :D

Mine was a bloke in his late 30s, blue blazer, white shirt, gold cufflinks.

A young version of this bloke:-

But sounded and looked like this bloke:-

The funniest bit was when I told him he's full of amazing facts and he blurted out in his best posh Brummie accent "yes, yes I am actually".

Which reminds me, I really need to start using my helmet cam. That would have been Youtube gold.

"I'm considerably more full of facts than YOU!"

Same here. It's funny how much less common these occurrences are when you're filming. :D

Apart from a random pipping his horn and giving me the thumbs up it was a cold but uneventful ride home

Got a quote yesterday from my local garage for the Metzeler M5 pair and M7rr pair or a pilot power front fully fitted including VAT.

Pilot power front £118
M5 £260
M7RR £299

It's a bit steep at the moment so going to wait. I've got no problems with the powers they are a good tyre but wantbto try something different. I wouldn't mind the M5 again as they were a stonking tyre but really want the m7rr as heard so many good things about them but it is very pricy!

The M5 is a great tyre, I actually fitted M7's then when they were done went back to the M5, I liked them better.
Did you get this quote from Gary ? If not I would ask him, he is normally very good on price.
Saying that I normally just buy on line and take down loose wheels for fitting cost me very little then. On line prices direct seems to be the best deals around at the moment.

For info I am now running on the PR4's which ha also proved to be a very good tyre, to be fair they have only been on in crappy weather conditions so far, but even at the weekend I had a few interesting moments and they stayed planted (ish) lol

If you are okay with removing your wheels from the bike, order tyres online (oponeo or tyreleader are typically cheapest) and get them fitted to a loose wheel - it almost always results in a saving for minimal effort.

I've never paid for than £210 total for brand new tyre fitted to the wheel, before doing that I was paying £240 for BT023s

I've found a few places that will fit to loose wheels for free if you buy the tyres from them.

Fewer and fewer want to fit tyres they have not sold now or charge a premium of £20 per wheel for the privilege.

I think I pay around £10/wheel at my local garage but then I get my car tyres done there and also my girlfriends car goes there too. I've been using the same guy for 6 years now
