"Live" is the key word , I do not watch or record any live broadcasts and therefore do not require a licence .

So you dont record any shows either? Only use tv for dvds.

all my tv is over the internet , I cant see the point in recording something that I can access online anytime I like , I have a 30inch monitor on my PC dont own an actual TV or dvd player/recorder etc

Tbh, I think shown online probably legally counts as "shown live". You're watching it "as live". That's why it mentions recording devices...

Don't get me wrong, I personally don't care whether anyone buys a TV license or not.

if I watch it at the same time as it is broadcast on tv then yes it would be live but accessing a file on a host site ie watching last weeks QI on the iplayer today isn't , tbh I download/torrent the majority of what I watch which is mostly series like Game of Thrones, Arrow, Flash, Expanse, Black sails etc
