Survived 10 of the hardest miles I've ever "run" some of the course was so muddy even walking was a challenge, and the there was "thee hill". I kid you not, I stood at the bottom and said "what the **** is that" it was that steep my Garmin auto paused as it thought I want moving (facepalm)

Nope. I hate swimming, and not overly keen on cycling, and I really hate having my wallet emptied. 400 notes for a single event (shake)

I think in going to keep to road running, but I an getting more tempted to do the training for a full marathon.

Well after being told off the doc I need to do some exercise, I bought a piece of 'gym' equipment for the garage, it's very hard on the shoulders and arms and supposed to help the stomach muscles. I can only do about 5 mins at a time then I do 10 mins on the bike on its turbo trainer in between, did about 40 mins tonight and I'm fooked !!!

I've started getting a bit slack with the gym so last night I drew up a plan on excel.

Fingers crossed this can help me stick to it until my motivation comes back then I can carry on as I was.

Starting tonight it's chest with some cardio and swimming.

The top of the "hill"

The final few steps until cake, yes it was a tankslap style race there where tables of home made cake and bacon rolls on offer before and after the race (rock)

Got my first day back on the weights yesterday.
Having gotten fat and weak meant I only did light weights.
Bench press, 40-50kg, 5 sets of 10 reps.
Incline dumbell flye, 8 kg, 3 sets of 10 reps.

Despite the girly weight I was trying to focus on maintaining tension in the muscles. I think it worked because my moobs are already massively sore!

I really do hate the gym this time of year. The newbies should be forced to go during off peak times.

Couldn't drag myself out of bed yesterday so did a bag session in the evening.

Almost failed to drag myself out this morning, but chastised myself and got down there.

Same as Monday's effort, focusing on trying to keep tension in the muscles to better stimulate growth (apparently), this time doing squats.
Again, 5 sets of 10 reps, a mere 40kg across my back.
Going upstairs is already a struggle!!!

Don't know why, but I'm really struggling to get motivated at the moment and am suffering for it... I've not don any excercise since last sunday and I'm really starting to feel slow, fat, and lethargic...

Doing a 5 mile run after work tomorrow with the club and going to see if I can find some motivation. I've just booked myself in for a 10 mile road race on the 14th of Feb to see if having something to focus on will give me a kick up the arse that I need....

Sometimes you need a break. Step back, recharge then go again.

I took my wife to the gym. Made her do some cardio, then deadlifts, dips and pull ups.

She might speak to me next month.

First, let me just say WOW!

This girl/woman at the gym.. probably mid/late 20's and (besides her face) she is absolutely stunning!!! Everything.. literally everything is perfectly formed, she has the most amazing legs and butt plus her energy is through the roof - it's a workout just watching her. I don't even know if she has boobs - I just don't care!!!

Thanks all... I really needed to get this off my chest.
