They look horrendous Kwacky and have they actually had any r&d or crash testing analysis?

I can recommend the GB Racing ones.

I personally would say R&G Or GB Racing ones, but the ones you've shown us Kwacky do look different but still not for me really

These are what I meant Kwacky and at least you know they are a proven product.

Maybe find a second hand set on ebay or a forum that's what I did and you will always get your money back when you sell them (y)

The others maybe cheaper but if they dont hold up in a crash they are a expensive chocolate fire guard.

I've got GB racing on the ninja, but they don't do anything for the SX.

I'll keep looking.

T Rex are a well known company in the states, I had their sliders in the ZX6R which seemed very good quaility...Shame it got nicked a few days later

Isn't your engine a gen3 zx10r ? If that's the case I would imagine the crank cases are identical and the gen3 zx10r covers may fit the sx. Worth a call to GB Racing maybe ;)

Mine is a 1053cc engine, not 998cc which is what I think the Gen3 is.

I'll ask but the covers don't look the same on the photos I've just googled. Decent suggestion though.

May be pop down the stealers and compare yours with a gen3 the extra capacity is most likely from a slightly longer stroke. Would make sense as saves money and develops more torque which your bike as all about.

T-Rex have offered me a bundle of the engine covers plus the no-cut crash bungs with postage for less than it costs for the R & G set, plus I think they look better

They look better but they aren't as strong.. Sure they'd be fine for a carpark spill though
