Update: 3:51 p.m. EST -- A German official indicated that previous reports were wrong and that explosives had not been found in Hannover. German officials earlier indicated that there was a "serious threat of explosives," which led to a hurried evacuation of the soccer stadium where Germany was scheduled to play an international friendly game with the Netherlands.

Update: 3:17 p.m. EST -- A section of Hannover's central train station was closed down after another suspicious object was discovered, according to police. A truck bomb disguised as an ambulance was found outside of the city's soccer stadium earlier in the evening, and another explosive device was found inside the stadium.

Update: 2:52 p.m. EST -- The Hannover chief of police told reporters that there was a "device intended to be detonated" found in the stadium where Germany was expected to play the Netherlands Tuesday.

When i was a youngster it was the IRA spreading terror. You also had the Basque separatists in Spain. Munich Olympics.

Get rid of ISIS and someone else will want to take power over others.

I cant remember so many terrorist and conflicts as now,I fly frequently with work and it is now spooking me.Never had that feeling before

We can't allow muderers to freely roam our world because another muderer will replace them if we take the first murderer out. We have no choice no matter how difficult the task to route out these evil people and stop them and then stop the next and then the next.

It may be a never ending task but one we have no choice but to see through to the bitter end.

My kids have a very simplistic view of bad guys and good guys.

I always tell them good guys will always win as the good guys are fair and just and there will always be more good people in this world than bad and I truly believe that.

Taking out the odd individual purely for media usage only makes it all worse and in any case, why brag about doing the same as they do. Do it quietly and stealthily.

There are no doubt deals being done behind closed doors with other Arab nations who have a vested interest in both sides and that pisses me off even more.

FFS guys more people in the UK have died riding motorbikes than killed by terrorists this year, much more. I've not checked the stats but I'd bet a fiver more people have been killed by London Cabbies than UK deaths due to terrorism in the last 10 years.

As i said the other day, the terrorists are doing a 'fine' job as a terrorsists. Spreading terror fear and division all aided by our own media.

Good stats Monty and they show things in a different light but numbers aren't always a good way of showing information.

At the end of the day motorcyclists don't kill people enjoying a meal in a restuarant or socialising at a rock concert.

There is a huge difference between accidents and deliberate acts of terror which I know you will agree on.

Accidents are an unfortunately fact of life and we have made big in roads into reducing the number of accidents in all walks of life through safety initatives and risk assemment over recent years. Murder and terrorism need to be eliminated rather than reduced which im sure you will agree on.

To be totally frank it is the media spreading terror. Yes, of course I'm not stupid, I know the media isn't doing the killing and beheadings etc but the media (largely Tory-run?) are scaremongering anyone willing to listen, read or watch.

They're practically forcing it into our lives. As I sit typing this I can hear 2 separate conversations about the terrorism so even if I choose not to pay attention to the news it is still in my life.

Whatever happens is not going to be good and while the governments continue their corrupt ways there is never going to be resolve. I'm not entirely sure what 'Islamic State' stand for but I bet it has something to do with the way our Governments have self-appointed themselves as leaders of the world. I too am frustrated with that so maybe that makes me a terrorist according to the media.

A few more stats for you...

This year (to date):
300 murders have been committed in the UK
I can find no mention of deaths related to terrorism this year in the UK

Also, Boko Haram have conducted FAR more terrorism attacks this year than ISIS. I'm guessing the government and media don't care as they're in Africa.

If you consider terror as an act which causes people to fear their wellbeing, George Osborne is the biggest terrorist of them all as 60,000 people have died since being found fit to work. I can no longer find the articles to confirm this number but I'm pretty sure it's right.

I'm not at all scared to go out and find myself in the centre of a terrorist attack, I'm more fearful of going out and getting sexually assaulted or murdered.

80% if not higher of murders in the UK are comitted by someone the victim knows or related to crime.

Acts of terror are complete evil carried out against innocent law abiding peacful citizens. Imo we can't be justifying or comparing these acts with any other crime as they are unique.

ISIS is murdering civilians all other the world on multiple continents. I m not embarrassed to air my opinion that they should be STOPPED Permantly and I would personally support that cause of action.

SORRY to rant and I accept there will be a difference of opinions on the subject I'm simply airing mine.
