Ok. Worn this morning for my commute.

Boots,

Very comfortable, although a bit stiff which is not unusual. It was a dry day so can't comment on waterproofing, but my feet were at a nice temperature for the entire 35 mile commute at around 5-8 degrees outside temp. I think when they have been broken in they will be really comfy.

Trousers
These have a really good quality feel with a very good liner. The blurb mentions heat proofing sections too, but at the moment that's not really relevant. They are a bit tighter than my Triumph trousers, which meant I never wore my work trousers underneath. However, as they fit better there was less flapping and wind resistance. I never felt any cold, although my legs got a little itchy from direct contact with the liner. I might wash the liner and I think it'd probably solve that. It might be as it is new.

Jacket,
The fit again is tighter than my Triumph JAcket but I did drop to a medium from a large. Because of this the fit feels much better than my baggy Triumph jacket and the result is less flappyness during riding and a feeling of less wind resistance. I was still able to fit my work shirt and jumper underneath. The actual jacket liner/thermal barrier felt a lot thinner than my Triumph Jacket, so I was worried I would be cold on the ride. However, I guess the wind protection was a lot better, as I got no chill feeling at all.
The cuffs are a bit difficult to fit bulky winter gloves inside. When I get my newer gloves I will review this again as the cuffs on my current gloves are quite bulky.
The jacket design is very nice, with a lot of good looking detail and touches. Even has a section for you to add your name, blood group, emergency phone number etc.

My Alpinestar goretex gloves are good for fitting inside or over my textile jacket as they're not as bulky as others.

yeah looking at the pics of the hled goretex gloves I ordered, I think the wrist part is a lot sleeker so should be no issue then

I have the Held Phantom and there by far the best glove I own. I think any future glove I buy will be from Held they are second to none imo.

Liking the new kit. It's always a struggle trying to fit the jacket in to or over the top of gloves and even harder when you've managed to do one side!!

Thanks for thee reminder. Have ridden in cold and very wet conditions now, and everything held up well. Pun not intended.

The gloves were nice and warm, and same with the boots.

The oxford gear is good, but when I know it's going to rain ive also been using a rain overcoat, mostly to try to stop the white bits on the jacket getting too shitty.
