Exploring Wales in Autumn/Winter
I realise a few of you have put your bikes away for now
For those of us still riding, is there any interest in having a look at some new roads and destinations around Wales while the roads are quiet? The rideouts would be to look for new places to go, so they could be crap, they could be fantastic. The intention would be to have a more casual paced ride, with a few more stops than usual to look at places to go and test the local cake shops.
That way when the fair weather riders come out of hibernation we should have some new routes to explore.
I wouldn't plan anything when it's too cold.
Would anyone be interested?

I won't be able to but I'm more than happy to research roads and share my findings.
Very much looking forward to next year though

Much depends on who (if any) wants to come out and explore. Edski has posted some north routes to try.
I want to ride around Hereford as well and have a look around the English/Welsh borders.

Re: Exploring Wales in Autumn/Winter
I think the roads around ludlow are pretty good but I don't really remember them as I was doing an Observed Ride with IAM.
The A488 from Shrewsbury heading South to Lydham looks good.. Links up nicely to Crossgates then down to Crossgates and eventually Hay-on-Wye. Nice cafe there so I've been told.

Post up some dates you were thinking of going Kwacky. I'll try and organise my life around them. I don't mean that in a sarcastic way, I just want to go out riding more. I don't mind the weather.

Cheers Cav
Tony, dates I'm free at present are 22nd and 29th Nov and pretty much any Sunday in December.
I might go out for a play on Saturday after I've picked up the new tyres for the Z1000SX

There's nothing like the first ride with new tyres !!
Tyres are one of the reason I can't come to play - I have a supercorsa that is slick

These will be very relaxed rides. Just cut the tyres up a bit for some grip

Lol.. that's the worst advice ever!
Also, the bike isn't taxed and I don't have much brake pad material left. Not going to happen this side of April sadly

I'm up for exploring Wales pretty much any time. Might have to invest in some waterproofs though

Can't do that now, both kids are fighting in the nationals.
Can do 22 or 28.
