Re: Road-going Honda RCV unveiled
I thought there were rules as to what can and cannot be changed now and much of the race bike has to be very similar to the road bike in terms of components.
Isn't that why there is an R1-M and a Panigale R? To homologate race parts for WSBK.
Rumours are the Panigale R may be getting another update this year for just that reason.

The panigale r exists as you can only enter 1200 vtwins so the 1299 isn't eligible.
The rcv road bike is virtually a customer spec rcv so pretty much a race bike ready to go but it will never happen I was only kidding around.

The sports kit is for track use only.
Only problem is the exhaust in the sport kit is noise tested at 116dba so it's not going on any trackday soon unfortunately.
Which sort of makes it a very expensive and shiny paper weight

Pfft, not even trying.. That's only 2dba's louder than the RSV when the cans had just been repacked

In fairness 3dba is a doubling of sound levels so it is quite a lot tbh but saying that if your rsv is 114 dba that is mental and I have no idea how you ride it.
Do you not like your hearing Jon ?

What?......
That is too loud even for a race system. Youll never be allowed on any tracks. Well maybe the states.
