Being angry, whilst entirely understandable, will not gain you anything.
Missing the deadline of your son's birthday & then lying to you is breach of contract IMO. You should think acre fully about what you feel would be a justified recompense for the inconvenience & upset they have caused you, and then clearly request it.
If they decline, threaten to cancel the order & take your future business (and those of your friends) elsewhere.
