yes in the 1st 6 months ,the 1st week is intensive robot training ,i have to learn how to programme one before im let loose selling them :D

just had my job offer confirmed in writing so ive handed my notice in,my boss has gone apeshit and I mean properly mental at me
Said the new company is a load of shit and unprofessional ,he then offered me the earth
I couldnt get him to understand i just dont want to work here anymore no matter what pay rise i get or benefits.If I am honest I am shaking and quite upset,ive worked here nearly 20 years and ive just been ranted at like ive done something wrong
anyhow its done now

hes just thrown my contract at me and said it has a non compete clause stopping me going to a company in the same industry,.

Sounds like a knob. Everyone moves on from time to time. Especially after 20 years. A new job will inspire you again, not just about the money.

Non compete clauses are difficult to enforce I understand?

Non compete clauses are generally very difficult to enforce.

Maybe he should have looked after his staff better whilst working for him.

They are hard to enforce, but even so, he has been a bit of a donkey, banging on about how bad the other lot are etc... very unprofessional.
If he carries on in this fashion he might do you a favour if he is all humpy and let you go right away :)
