A very deserving Champion and I wish him well
Jonathan Rea heads into the tenth round of the 2015 World Superbike Championship at Sepang in a position to potentially wrap up the title with three events of the season remaining, as Great Britain is now certain of taking another crown.
As it stands, Rea leads Kawasaki team-mate Tom Sykes by 125 points, with a maximum of 200 points available from the final eight races in Sepang, Jerez, Magny-Cours and Qatar.
As such, should Rea end the weekend having swelled his lead to 150 points over the only three remaining riders that can mathematically challenge him for the title now – Sykes, Chaz Davies and Leon Haslam – he will be crowned champion before the summer break.
A measure of his dominance over the course of the 2015 season since joining Kawasaki from Honda, Rea has finished on the podium in every race so far, with 11 of the 18 races being wins.
