Insurance is up on the zx6r this month so I'm going to call Carole Nash to see how much it'll cost to add it to the existing policy with the SX

Finished shopping for it, got new bar ends, levers, rearset foot peg, helmet and leathers all on route to home.

Just fibreglass repairs and a paint touch up when I get time at home.

Ordered a big bag of stainless steel nuts and bolts for both bikes. I'll start to swap them over from the OEM ones as I'm working on them. Hopefully I'll get it done before winter.

Spent the afternoon riding a few enduro machines and crossers somewhere in Wiltshire. Booked this up ages ago after the heads up by Duke who did it last year. For £30 you get to spent a bit of time on these machines. First part was going around a pen in circles, i was on a tiny 125 thing, got told off three times for going too fast, I would have fallen off if I went any slower!

Then we got to play on the big track, no jumps of any size!!! I was gutted the vid on their site had them, but it seems too many people previously fell off trying to be heros so the jumps dont exist. However I got told to slow down again, and managed to pop a few wheelies, ha ha.... well the instructor up front was doing it....:) We had a break and I said how about a ride on the bike they had up at the base camp an rm 250, he said yes, I thought he was joking, but they let me take it down to the track... holy crap that was miles better than the other ones I had a blast. Almost flipped the 450 Kawasaki, one of the guys mentioned it when we went back to base ha ha ha... All in all a fun afternoon, all for 30 quid. Cheers Si for the heads up. Not able to do again now though :( however I might get drawn out on the raffle for a days messing about.

Now I must be off, time to look in the small ads and see where people are racing MX bikes around here lol

Washed and waxed the Versys. Seemed only fair seeing as they've let me keep it (giggle)

Took the 748 out for a summer's evening thrash.

I really don't think I could have more fun on any other bike when I'm in the right mood for it. Its and absolute blast.

Yes definitely. I meant to register for that event last year when you did it but obviously forgot (facepalm)

They do taster days, £209 for the day, MX, Enduro and Trail riding, seems they book up fast looking at the listing.

It's probably worth starting a new thread so all this information doesn't get lost here :)

Wished I could get out on it to enjoy some of this nice weather.. No me shed as yet so it's still round the brother in laws.

Did book the track bike in for an oil and filler change and quick look over before Mallory in a couple of weeks

wired a detachable rev counter for the 500 race bike, as im sick of the scrutineers having a moan at noise testing time.

Hopefully not a stupid question, but why does it need to be detachable Tricky ?
