It does look pretty clean! It's a 'best offer' item too and not many people are after standard shocks so he'll probably take £50 or £60 including delivery. Good luck!

Out of interest is a progressive spring better than a linear one? Seems stock are all linear and these after market ones are progressive! Does this mean progressive are more softer or harder?!

In very simple terms and not taking into consideration what the linkage could be doing the springs will be:

Progressive - Will get progressive harder the more its compressed.

Linear - Will compress at the same rate all the way through its range.

When i had my 748 forks rebuilt Revs said they always recommend linear springs as they are easier to set up and gauge what is required.

If i remember correctly he said that hydraulic forks and shocks are progressive by their very nature as the oil 'squashes' as its compressed and so gets progressively firmer anyway.

Have bought a shock from the US. £70 Inc postage has 10k miles on it and is off a 05 bike so will fit. Just need to receive it now and fit it. The US are just full of shocks and needed one. Looks very clean

Nice one Rossgo and at that price you won't have to pay any import duty either, so a win win (y)

No import duty as its under £135 but they will take 20% VAT and probably £8 for the privilege of the Post Office collecting the VAT.

Normally direct to the Post man for the item to be released to you.

In my experience it doesn't always happen though so I would just wait and see if your lucky, and keep quite about it for now ;) (lol) (y)

Email the seller and ask him to send it as a sample or a present or mark the invoice down

Good idea but not without its own problems as you are then only insured to the value of the sample not the price you have actually paid the seller,
