Feel your pain. And to rub salt in the wound, I just found out I missed out on a trip to Dubai (Acceptance checks and training on our new RO water units) due to it over lapping my rostered shifts :@

Man down and I'm in agony!

Lost the front end and landed on my knee. That's the last time I ever take a BMX off a seven year old and show him how it's done.

We call them Witness Tests over here and it's normally me that gets sent out to host them. I generally get everyone pissed the night before so they are desperate to get out of the factory before the end of the test.

What do you use the RO water for on the rig?

Ummm, everything mate. No town water out here!!! It's our Potable Water supply for all the accommodation, safety showers and eye wash stations and also feed to our De-Ionisation Skid. We also use it to supplement our industrial water supply, which is normally feed from condensate from the HVAC's, but in the dry season it's not enough to keep up with demand. on an average day we comsume about 40-50 m3 of potable water.

And just to be pedantic, we are a Production Platform not a rig :)

Do you have to drink it? (puke) or is it remineralised?

Mind I bet you come out of the shower clean!
