In all seriousness I wouldn't be getting on the beast unless conditions are right either. We ride cause we enjoy it. Riding s new stead in muck is not going to be enjoyed at all!

I agree, but I'd sit on in the garage letting it idle and rev the tits off if itkiwikrasher wrote:In all seriousness I wouldn't be getting on the beast unless conditions are right either. We ride cause we enjoy it. Riding s new stead in muck is not going to be enjoyed at all!

Re: ZX10R
Oh that's a given! I crank the track bike up at least once a week and listen to its beautiful music!
I even started the triumph last week. Hadn't been started for about 6 months, and it started no dramas. Sounds tame next to the Werkes on the ZX thou

Will be few long months of modding, tweeking, cleaning and gazing longingly until the weather turns and all the salt is of our roads.

Re: ZX10R
I got my new zx6r in december and rode it pretty much none stop until I slammed it on the floor.
The salvage guy couldn't believe the miles I had put on it in a few months over what was a cold winter.
We're all different. For me a bike is about riding. Throw my leg over it and get out there. I don't give a shit about the mileage I'm putting on it or if the road salt will make a few bolts less shiny.
As I say, we're all different and I understand how a bike is someone's pride and joy. I guess using mine all the time for commuting means I see it more of a machine than others do.

As you say we are all different. Neither is wrong in fact the opposite both are right and that's the beauty of bikes they make us smile.

Re: ZX10R
Agreed here. I used my Daytona everyday in all weather's and to be honest it made me smile every time even when I was cold tired and hungry it was a great way of getting around and I felt more freedom than in a car. If I could go back to using just the bike I think I would!

Just saw this. What a blast from the past. 25 years on and the Kawasaki Green & Black still looks good
