Re: What are you doing today ??
Struggling to stay awake in the office!!
My little boy (2 years old) woke up at 2am struggling to breath during the night and making all sorts of strange inhaling noises. We put him in the car and took him to A&E where they told us he has viral croup. A dose of steroids and some monitoring and they sent us on our way at 5:30am. As you can imagine, I am pretty exhausted today!!

Hope the little man is OK and Mum and Dad aren't too stressed and tied.

Cheers for the well wishes chaps!
It was pretty scary. As a little kid I can remember countless nights having to sit in a steamed up bathroom as I used to get croup quite a lot...not fun at all

Not good Rob but sounds like you have experience and know how to handle it which is a huge positive.
Hope things settle down asap. Have they give your little boy any inhalers ? My lad had croup and they gave him a preventative and a reliever inhaler which helped and it cleared up quite quickly and touch wood has not come back.

Had a similar episode with my little girl a few months back Rob, they respond really quickly to the steroid treatment. She'd had a few attacks over the last couple of years but the last was by far the worst. I too suffered with it as s kid and remember the steaming under a towel. They now reckon there is no real benefit to it. I always remembering it helping thou'.

Good luck with your MRI scan
I've got to go and interview a couple of people about a car crash. Nothing serious (hopefully).

Working then picking up my cat after she gets done. Think she's going to be very sleepy later but on the plus side in few days (unsure exactly how long) then she can stay outside all day and proper teach her to go toilet outside as right now she's bloody too snobby to do it outside the comfort of a warm environment!
