I have had this bike for some time I bought it for the wife as she was trying to pass her test at one stage but that never happened. So my car in the garage is going away for some work to be done. which means I have some space to get this thing rebuilt.
While I was away I picked up a copy of practical sports bike, reading through this there was an article about putting bigger engines in 125 bikes. The clogs got working and I was searching the Internet seeing what could be done. So the options I can see which are practical are:
Rotax 257 2stroke which is a cart engine they have about 60 hp fit in easy enough but are a pig to find or really expensive.
A 650 pegaso engine 4stroke about 50 hp but a lot more torque
Not sure which direction to take at the moment would like to keep it 2stroke but I need to keep this as cheap as I can.

Re: Rs125
Those Rotax engines fetch a decent price. It would be cheaper to find a bike with one already in it.

Re: Rs125
The 257 rotax is not fitted to any bikes I know of only carts. The pain with the rs125 is the drive is on the wrong side so you are really limited with options. Unless I fit a different swing arm but that could cause all sorts of handling problems unless you get it spot on.
There is a engine I'm watching at the moment in Germany so will see how much it fetches.
If I go down the 4 stroke option I'll look at all options is buying the whole bike etc..
