Happened just yesterday apparently. Google tells me it happens quite often...those rascals are always fighting with one another.

This is only one of many wild swim spots around the Blue Mountains area. Might be a lug carrying your lad into a gorge though
@St Marks .. no crocs this far south. If this was in North Queensland or NT you definitely wouldn’t be getting in. Eels at the worst here, occasionally have to watch for Leeches but none here thankfully

Spent the day sorting the pool and now have my daughter and 7 of her friends in there enjoying my labour. I’d say it’s going to get a thrashing over the next week with the current forecast.

....And before I leave ('cos it's way too early/cold), I thought I'd quickly figure out the guitar riff for Nova Twins' "Choose Your Fighter"....that's a great riff, simple & effective....AND IT FRICKIN' ROCKS!!!!!

Got sick of being held up in the AC at home so three of the kids (Jorja, Leila and Haydn) and I ventured out and found a shady swim hole in the local river. Was really refreshing and I was super happy the kids all were keen to get out despite the heat. It’s 6.30pm and still 38 deg C!

Taking my son to a dermatologist appt (he’s been dealing with bad cystic acne). His mum has brought him to the previous appts. The clinic is in the ritzy area of North Sydney and and is a laser/cosmetic surgery office as well. I’m sitting in the waiting room and it’s full with 50 yr+ wealthy woman that all look like their husbands have spend far to much money here

Re: What are you doing today ??
Cycling, and nearly being taken out by some numbnuts in a truck.
Is it me??....because I was in a crosswalk, the lights for traffic were red, and everyone else was stopped....and then this total fcuking moron blew past everyone and went straight through the lights. If I hadn't seen him coming and slammed on the brakes while in the middle of the road he'd have wiped me out. Scared the fcuk out of me.
I think I'm going to have to alter my route, because that's the third time that's happened at that crosswalk, and there's just no reason for it....the crosswalk itself couldn't be in a better place. Pi$$ed me off no end.

It's a day off. Starting with a contract lenses check up, then some Christmas shopping.
I'm meeting a few school mates this evening for beers. It'll be messy, they love their shots

Cage shopping.
The mini bearly passed its MOT last year and it's now got a noise from the front left that's getting worse, plus I've had to reset the engine warning light a couple of times recently. Time to get shot before I actually have to fix it.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Yesterday
Took the teenage daughters clothes shopping. Gave them my credit card, left them too it. Went and did some Christmas shopping. Headed back to the shop they were in, as I stroll in, the fire alarm goes off. Same tone as our offshore general platform alarm. Work mode activated
Clothes shop had stereo blasting, went up to the counter and told them to turn the music off, as there was direction being given and the fire alarm was going. By now we could smell smoke significantly. Music off, evacuation orders finally heard. My girls had been waiting in line for the counter for 20 mins and were pissed but I think they saw my demeanour and didn’t argue. Leaving the shop looked down to the food court and heavy smoke, only 20-30m from where we were. Luckily only a couple of shops away from an exit. 3000 people evacuated from the multi story mall. Took 3 hrs till part of the mall was re-opened and we could get the car again. No injuries at all other than one person treated for smoke inhalation thank goodness.
Pisser was I had to take them shopping again today to get all the bloody clothes again
Just another reason I hate Christmas shopping!
And yes, I’m starting to accept I’m a sh*t magnet

Re: What are you doing today ??
I've got the day off. I'm supposed to be taking my dad out for lunch then going to the football this evening
My wife is full of cold. Her co-worker decided last week to go in to work, despite being full of cold. Their desks are next to each other so there's no escape
So I've had to cancel my plans. I don't want to run the risk of passing something on to my dad, he's in his 80s.
The cold has hit my wife pretty hard, she's laid out in bed. So I'm looking after her as well as the housework. I've spent the morning doing all the ironing. She's feeling guilty because she thinks she's ruined my day off. But it's not her fault. I don't understand why people insist on going in to work when they're clearly ill.
