The new energy cap for October has been announced. Standing charges are still stupidly high and the cap hasn't decreased that much.

If you're with Octopus energy it's worth checking your tariff. I'm in the flexible, but if I switch to flexible (yep, the same tariff) my direct debit drops by 20% :D

They are doing a fixed tariff for slightly less but there's an early exit fee.

Democracy and capitalism failing big time.

So they already have a product that is a necessity that every household and business needs and for those who don't pay, they make their other customers pay for it, instead of chasing the bad debts themselves.
