Took the sx out for a couple of hours around Warwickshire way.

Most of the country lanes have been reduced to 40mph. It's crap.

The Pantygirdles weren't designed for touring though, were they. Fwiw in all my decades of motorcycle riding, you could probably count on one hand the times I've been in the saddle for more than an hour.
Bikes are for fun travelling imho, for "journeys" I'd sooner a more appropriate means of transport.

I was looking at this the other day.: https://www.gumtree.com/p/ducati-motorb ... 1459533383

Then I realised,,,: Instead of enjoying the extra grunt at my next trackday, I'd be too preoccupied about the consequences of when my enthusiasm inevitably overtook my ability, & I threw her at the scenery.. (wasntme)

About 180 miles today around North Yorkshire sticking to the back lanes and avoiding the coast as we knew that would be very busy and the main biking routes would have cameras today.

Dinner was at the Gavel and Bean Cafe in Kirkby Moorside, Very recommended if you happen to be in that area.

FWIW, I rode around one of these in Portimao because the rider wouldn't go full throttle or corner particularly fast. You get out what you put in so if you want it and can afford it, get it! :)

Sound advice mate, & I see where you're coming from.
Sadly however, I believe I'd be so precious about her, that I'd just end up riding her like the owner of the one you enjoyed in Portugal.
Besides I can't even get close to the limits of my old Trumpet, but at least whenever I crash her (so far) the impact on her value & cost of repairs have been acceptable.

I used to love doing the same at Mallory on my old 600 CBR Steelie...

Nothing beats the confidence of knowing you can pin it almost anywhere without the risk of power slides and high sides, oh and also not giving a crap if I binned it helped Image

Went Crossing on Sunday, New Track to me, well organised, Only down side, It was so bloody hot, it nearly killed me. Anyway here is a little snap shot A very hard track, one second its sand, the next marbles, the next mud.... took it out of me. the vid does not do the hills justice. At least this time I have the sound working (not great) and the camera pointing in front rather than down on the floor.

If you go down there, avoid Leominster town centre. 3 way traffic lights and chaos. In a car I reckon a good 30 mins plus to get through. Ah so smug on a bike 🤪

There's no pubs or curry houses there.

I don't think you've thought this through

Cough cough.... I had a beer in here a couple of Fridays ago https://www.wyevalleybrewery.co.uk/our- ... -chequers/ Try the Nightjar stout. There's a Curry house just over the road which my mate recommended.

The bends near Broadwas (rock)
