Cleaned it and sorted the chain tension. It was terrible 🤭

It's amazing the difference correct chain tension makes. On a trackday, a tight chain gives you acceleration issues and keeps the shock from extending. A loose chain gives you very latent throttle inputs and feels nasty

Both bikes washed.

It looks like the MV picked up a couple of stone chips on Friday

Went and got it dusty after the fog cleared up, went to a cafe which I have never seen open before and ignored the sat-nav on my way home so I hit some back lanes I have never seen before and had a fun little ride on my own.

I like this Garmin XT, still getting used to it but it seems good, it probably helps that my 'work' nav is also a Garmin so the operating system is familiar.

Did the bike come with the domino grips Kwacky? You got bar end mirrors on it?

I put the mirrors and grips on.

There were some MV grips, but we got over ambitious wth the heat gun when me and Perkles were trying to remove the bar ends, which seemed to be welded in (lol)

Washed it and dried it off.

Then decided it wasn't dry enough, so pulled on the lid and air dried it properly.

Nice to be able to ride in a leather jacket and jeans, first time it's been warm enough and dry enough.

Agreed, Summer clobber on with dry roads, give or take some major floods still about... so just as well i did not wash the bike again! Now clocked up the mileage for its first service.
It really needs a different riding style to the S1000R, very light on the steering, obviously the power difference, I am enjoying this bike, just need a good summers riding to bond.

I also dropped off the Gixer to Gary @ GS ( base to sell from) as It time to let someone else enjoy this track bike. I have had a bucket load of fun on it, but its time someone else did. I will put an add together in due course and share around on here and FB should anyone be interested.

I'm going to wash it in a bit, yesterday I did about 260 miles escorting a couple of mates up as far as Alston as they are having a long weekend in Scotland, I was supposed to be going with them but have some family stuff to see to on Monday.

I dropped the MV off for us e service.

The sales guy told me that my old F3 dropped a valve, which got stuck.

So it looks like I sold it at the right time (lol)

That's not new is it? Main dealers were charging that when I was a teen, or so I thought anyway.

I dunno. It really seems to have shot up recently. Maybe I've not been paying attention to my previous invoices.
